In 2016, the village of Adi Etot received a charity: water-funded project that would provide the community with access to clean water. Three years later, in the summer of 2019, Cubby Graham and his Charity Water team visited the Ethiopian community again to learn about the impact that clean water has made on the lives of the people of Adi Etot.
74-year-old Tadese shared about the change he’s seen in his community since receiving clean water two and a half years ago:
“We have transitioned from the darkest life to the brightest life,” he told us. “We won the lottery.”
“We used to think, 'Why were we born here?!'” Abrehet told us. "Now, because of our new well, our ideas have been reversed. We see that life is better. Fighting with husbands has decreased. Children have a better future. Our problems are solved one by one.”
A very special #EthiopianCoffeeCeremony.
