I’ve been fascinated with cameras and photography since I was a teenager. In high school I became interested in the darkroom and the process of mounting, matting and framing finished prints. After many hours of photo exploration I started gravitating towards social documentary photography. I specifically wanted to meet and photograph indigenous cultures and people in economically developing parts of the world. Through these travels I’ve learned about the power of resilience and that kindness lives in the darkest of circumstances.
I’m very grateful to all the people I've photographed and to the clients that have generously supported my work. I'm also very appreciative to the teachers who helped guide my early photographic explorations. I never imagined this career would provide such a diverse and extensive passport into the lives of so many people I admire.
